When you pre-order plants from us, we make sure we put our best plants into the hands of our best customers. You'll ensure you get all the quality plants you love without the worry of missing out.

This is a pre-order item that will be available to pick up in-store in the spring. You will receive an email confirmation when you place your order, and another email in the spring when they are ready for pick-up.
Pick-Up Info
You will receive an email when your plants are ready for pick-up in the spring. Simply come to the front desk with your pick-up information, and we will pull your plants from the greenhouse where they have been waiting patiently for you!
Plants must be picked up within 14 days of notification. Orders that are not picked up in that time will be released for re-sale, and you will not receive a refund. If you are unable to pick up your plants during that time, please let us know ASAP.

African Daisies (or osteospermum) are native to South Africa and feature cheerful, daisy-like blooms. Their bright, colorful petals and centers shift and blend in color to create a special, tie-dye look.
African Daisies love cool weather and are perfect for early spring color in your containers and garden beds. They bloom all spring, take a break during those super hot, Kansas-summer days, and reflush with blooms in the fall. Pair them with a flower-friend that loves the heat like petunias and angelonia for happy flowers in any conditions.
African Daisies work great both in containers and in garden beds. They like to be kept on the dry side, which means less watering and work for you to do! Fertilize with Fox Farm Big Bloom once a week in spring and fall to encourage even more flowers.
Unlike other garden centers that ship their plants in from hot greenhouses, we grow all of our African Daisies right here in Pittsburg in cool conditions to ensure that are ready for those cold spring mornings once you take them home. It may take us a bit longer to get the plants ready for you, but you can be sure that you are getting the best plants anyone can offer. We like to do things right at In The Garden, not just fast and easy.

African Daisies do need protected from a frost or freeze if early spring temperatures dip down that low, but a little cold makes these plant thrive. African Daisies bloom best in full sun.
