Deep, wine-red color and massive blooms take center stage with Blackberry Merlot!

Hardy Hibiscus, also called rose mallow, is a stunner in the summer garden! One of the last plants to emerge in late spring, these beauties love the heat and wait for the ground to warm up before sending up shoots.

Hardy hibiscus are actually native to North America, including Kansas. These beauties love a sunny area, especially in a more wet spot, but can do well in a drier spot that is mulched and watered to retain moisture.

Hardy Hibiscus are butterfly favorites, with lots of pollen and nectar on their stamens. They are also deer and critter resistant.

Blackberry Merlot features bright green foliage and deep, wine-red blooms with a slight darker flush at the center. The flowers on this hardy hibiscus have a slight ruffle, with large, 8" blooms. Blackberry Merlot is one of the larger varieties of hardy hibiscus, maturing to 4-5 foot tall and 3.5-4 foot wide.

The Details: You will receive a Blackberry Merlot Hardy Hibiscus in a 3 gallon pot in the quantity of your choice for 45.00, or 5 or more for 42.00 each. Pick-up begins as soon as they are ready at the end of May or early June.
