This is a pre-order item that will be available to pick up in-store in the spring. You will receive an email confirmation when you place your order, and another email in the spring when they are ready for pick-up.
Pick-Up Info
You will receive an email when your plants are ready for pick-up in the spring. Simply come to the front desk with your pick-up information, and we will pull your plants from the greenhouse where they have been waiting patiently for you!
Plants must be picked up within 14 days of notification. Orders that are not picked up in that time will be released for re-sale, and you will not receive a refund. If you are unable to pick up your plants during that time, please let us know ASAP.
Peonies are the star of the spring garden, with huge, multi-petaled blooms and gorgeous coloring. The rarer Itoh peonies are hybrids of classic garden peonies and large tree peonies, with stronger stems and a wider variety of colors (including shades of yellow and orange!). Itoh peonies bloom slightly later than traditional garden peonies, extending the spring peony season for a few weeks longer.
Peony colors shift and change as they come to maturity, making every day a new and wonderful surprise in the garden.
They thrive with little maintenance, they're deer and critter resistant but super pollinator friendly, and they're known to last for up to 100 years.
Ruffled and magnificent, fragrant and long-lasting, endlessly collectible — there's so much to love about peonies!
Bartzella Itoh Peony feature sunshine yellow flowers with a red center, and individual blooms can open up to 9 inches across. Reaching up to 32" tall and wide at maturity, this tidy shrub adds a big impact. Blooms open from late spring to early summer, and have a bright, lemony fragrance.
Bartzella even won a Gold Medal from the American Peony Society!
